How do I activate My Lodge for my Lodge?

Activation takes less than 3 minutes from the app. Download My Lodge from the App Store or Google Play, create your account with your email address, then create your Lodge by entering its name and number. You automatically become the Administrator. Simply invite your Brothers and Sisters by email or invitation link.

How long does it take to set up the application?

Accepted Answer

Full setup takes about 15 to 30 minutes for a Lodge Secretary. This includes: creating the Lodge (2 min), importing or inviting members (5–10 min), configuring the first agenda (5 min) and testing a PUSH notification. Most Lodges are operational by the first meeting after activation.

Is a smartphone required to use My Lodge?

My Lodge is available on iOS (iPhone) and Android, but also on Mac and PC computers via the desktop application. Members can therefore use the application from any device. The mobile version is however recommended for receiving real-time PUSH notifications.

What is Tyler verification and how does it work in My Lodge?

Accepted Answer

Tyler verification is the human validation process for members before they can access your Lodge. When a new member makes an access request (via QR code or link), a designated Officer receives a notification and must manually accept or refuse access. No unrecognised person can enter your space without this validation.

Can I belong to several Lodges on the same application?

Yes, My Lodge natively supports multi-Lodge membership. If you are a member of several Workshops, you switch from one Lodge to another from the main menu without logging out. Each Lodge has its own sealed space: calendar, messaging, documents and members are completely separate.

Where is your data hosted?

My Lodge uses Firebase (Google Cloud), an infrastructure certified SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliant, with data stored in Europe (eur3 region). Encryption is applied at rest and in transit. While not hosted on French sovereign servers, My Lodge guarantees full GDPR compliance: right of access, rectification, objection and deletion for each member.

Is My Lodge GDPR compliant?

Yes. Masonic membership is sensitive data under Article 9 of the GDPR. My Lodge was designed from the ground up to meet these obligations: encryption of data at rest and in transit, no data reselling, right of access and deletion for each member, and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available for Obediences on request.

What security does Firebase provide for my data?

My Lodge uses Firebase (Google Cloud), a SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified infrastructure. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) by Google and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is protected by Firebase Authentication. While this is not end-to-end encryption, Firebase guarantees professional-grade security, GDPR compliant, used by millions of applications worldwide.

What happens if a member loses their phone?

The Lodge Administrator can immediately suspend or revoke a member's access from the management panel. The session is invalidated on all that member's devices within seconds. They can no longer access any Lodge content until reactivated.

Can My Lodge replace WhatsApp for our Lodge?

Accepted Answer

That is precisely its purpose. Unlike WhatsApp, My Lodge does not collect your personal data, does not display advertising, is not accessible to unverified non-members, and encrypts all your communications. The Masonic network is a sensitive network: using a mainstream messaging app exposes your members and exchanges to real risks.

How do I create a meeting in My Lodge?

From the Calendar menu, press the '+' button and choose the meeting type (regular, instruction, festive board…). Enter the date, time, location and agenda. You can then automatically invite all active members, define the list of expected officers and activate PUSH reminders (24h and 1h before the meeting).

How do I manage attendance and festive board responses?

Each member receives a notification with three options: Present, Absent, Pending. For meetings with festive boards, an additional option allows confirming or declining the meal. The Administrator sees the attendance table and number of confirmed covers in real time.

Can external visitors be invited to a meeting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. My Lodge has a visitor access system via QR code. The visitor scans the QR code from their phone and their access request arrives at the Tyler who validates or refuses with one tap. The visitor does not need to be a My Lodge member to use this feature.

How do I export the attendance sheet as a PDF?

Accepted Answer

From the meeting details, press 'Export attendance sheet'. My Lodge automatically generates a customised PDF with your Lodge's logo, the list of present/absent members with their grade, date and location. This document can be printed, archived or sent directly by email.

The Premium Lodge version unlocks encrypted group messaging, planches and documents, PDF attendance sheet, the black and white ball vote, inventory and priority 24h support. The Obedience offer adds customisation in your Grand Lodge's colours and API access.

Is the subscription per member or per Lodge?

The Premium subscription is per Lodge, not per member. A single package covers all active members of your Workshop, regardless of their number. You do not need to manage individual licences or pay based on headcount.

How do I manage my subscription and download invoices?

Accepted Answer

Go to the online billing portal at billing.my-lodge.com (powered by Stripe). From your personal space, you can change your plan, update your payment details, download invoices in PDF format and cancel if necessary. The portal is accessible 24/7. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

How do I upload a planche to My Lodge?

From the Planches & Documents menu, press 'Add' and select your file (PDF, Word, image). Enter the title, date and optionally the grade required to access it. The planche is immediately available to authorised members. You can also organise your documents in thematic folders.
