These terms govern use of the My Lodge mobile app (iOS, Android) and its web version app.my-lodge.com, as well as individual subscriptions purchased through the app stores. Whole-Lodge subscriptions are governed by the website terms.
Les Remarquables, a French sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle), registered office at 8 rue de la Moinerie, 44690 Monnières (France), registered with the Nantes Trade and Companies Register under number 437 574 163 (SIRET 437 574 163 00071). Publication director: Jules Ducloux. Contact: our contact form.
Using the app requires creating an account (e-mail and credentials). Users undertake to provide accurate information and keep their credentials confidential. The app is reserved for adults.
My Lodge offers Lodge management tools (calendar, messaging, documents, papers, attendance) and the Acacia ecosystem reserved for verified Masons (opt-in directory, exchange marketplace, paper sharing, mutual aid and messaging).
Individual subscriptions are purchased and billed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Price, automatic renewal and any refunds are governed by the relevant platform's terms. Management and cancellation are handled from the user's Apple or Google account, at least 24 hours before renewal. For Apple, the app is licensed under Apple's standard "Licensed Application End User License Agreement", and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
The application may allow a Lodge to collect online sums owed by its members (participation fees, agapes, dues or any other amount set by the Lodge, hereinafter the "Payments").
Payment provider. All Payments are processed exclusively by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited and its affiliates), an independent payment service provider. By making a Payment, the user agrees to be bound by Stripe's terms, in particular the Stripe Services Agreement and, for any Lodge collecting funds, the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
My Lodge's role. My Lodge (Les Remarquables) acts solely as the provider of a technical interface connecting the paying member and the beneficiary Lodge. My Lodge is not a party to the payment transaction, never collects or holds the funds, and never has access to card data, which is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with the PCI-DSS standard. Funds are credited directly to the beneficiary Lodge's Stripe account, which is solely responsible for their use and for its accounting, tax and non-profit obligations.
Commission. My Lodge charges a service commission on the Payments, automatically collected through Stripe. Depending on the setting chosen by the Lodge, this commission is either added to the amount paid by the member or deducted from the amount transferred to the Lodge. Stripe's own processing fees apply in addition, under Stripe's terms.
Disclaimer of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Lodge disclaims all liability relating to the Payments and their processing, including: unavailability, refusal, delay, failure or processing error attributable to Stripe, the bank or the card network; disputes, unpaid amounts, refunds, oppositions or chargebacks; the accuracy of the amounts set by the Lodge; freezing, blocking, delay or non-payment of funds decided by Stripe; the Lodge's failure to meet its obligations. Any dispute relating to a Payment is settled directly between the member, the Lodge and, where applicable, Stripe.
Refunds and disputes. Refund requests are the sole responsibility of the beneficiary Lodge. Opposition and chargeback procedures are governed by the rules of Stripe and the card networks. The Lodge, as holder of the connected account, alone bears any unpaid amounts, refunds and chargebacks.
Eligibility and compliance. A Lodge that enables online collection warrants that it provides Stripe with accurate information (identity, legal representative, bank details) and complies with Stripe's terms. Any failure of verification or compliance may lead Stripe to suspend payments, without any liability on the part of My Lodge.
Access to Acacia relies on voluntary verification of Mason status, which may require submitting supporting documents. These are processed confidentially for verification purposes only, in accordance with the app Privacy Policy. The publisher may refuse or revoke a verification.
Listing in the directory is voluntary; everyone controls their visibility. The exchange marketplace allows members to post offers and requests, respecting others and the law. The mutual-aid feature lets you alert nearby members. Unlawful, misleading or abusive content, and any unauthorised commercial misuse, are prohibited. The publisher may moderate, suspend or remove reported content.
Users remain responsible for the content they publish (listings, profiles, papers, messages) and warrant they hold the rights to it. They grant the publisher a non-exclusive licence to host and display it, strictly as needed to operate the service.
The mutual-aid feature uses location only with your consent and in anonymised form (approximate distance). Push notifications are sent according to your settings. You can withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings.
The service is provided "as is". The publisher is not a party to exchanges between members and is not liable for published content or relationships formed between users.
App processing is described in the app Privacy Policy.
Users may delete their account at any time from the app. The publisher may suspend or close an account in case of breach.
These terms are governed by French law. Failing amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
